The USU web site is comprised of all centrally managed university pages as well as some resources not maintained by the USU webmaster (i.e. AFRRI, LRC, MedPix, CIM, several Centers, etc). The USU webmaster works in coordination with the Office of External Affairs to ensure that information located on this web site is accessible, accurate, consistent and up-to-date. The site content, navigation and design will continually evolve.

Removal of Personally Identifying Information

Information on the USU web site cannot contain personal information such as marital status, children, personal contact information, social security numbers, personal phone numbers, personal email, etc. Professional information such as faculty Bios, CVs and work contact information, may be located on this public web site, but is not required.

Pagemaster Information

Pagemasters are organizational web content developers or organization contacts. Review the web guidelines for detailed information about USU web site requirements. For assistance in publishing approved content to the USU website, submit a request through the Service Desk System.

USU Page Requirements

USU pages must follow government, Department of Defense, Accessibility, and USU standards and guidelines. Pages must contain accurate, up-to-date and relevant information. Pages must contain technically correct and validating markup, and must use correct and validating style. Branding Guidelines should be followed, including the use of logo versus university seal. You may not recreate the logo or seal for your organization's purposes. Each page must have contained certain elements. These are:

  • Link to the USU Home page
  • Link to the Privacy/Security Notice
  • USU webmaster contact information (webmaster@usuhs.edu)
  • Date of last update
  • Use of the USU template (there are two template options at this time). The USU template contains server-side includes that point to USU webmaster maintained sections of every page:
    • Banner
    • Upper-left menu
    • Operating Status
    • Right Footer
