If the operating status of the university changes, the status will be reflected on all USU web pages (bottom left of page). This page will be updated if a determination is made that the operating status is anything other then OPEN.
 
Specific procedures for situations which may prevent USU community members (faculty, students, staff, military members, etc) from coming to the university will be located on this web page when applicable, and will be made available by broadcast to the USU community via email, as well as by recorded phone message. These situations may include inclement weather, pandemic flu outbreak, disruptions of government and community operations (public transportation, power/water, etc.), other university, campus or local area events.

In some cases, such as inclement weather, information regarding the closure of USU will be made publicly available via television.
