Did you know

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences charter class of 1980 graduated just 29 members. Although these pathfinders were the first to graduate from the nation's only federal health sciences university, they paved the way for thousands to follow. Today, nearly 6,000 health practitioners and scientists are USU alumni.

The University will hold Commencement 2014 on Saturday, May 17th, from 10:30 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m., at the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Constitution Hall, 18th and D Streets, N.W., Washington, DC.

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences commencement exercise is unlike any other graduation ceremony. Held annually on Armed Forces Day at the Daughters of the American Revolution Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., the event incorporates the traditions and pomp and circumstance of both military service and academia.

During Commencement, deans from each of USU's schools confer both master's and doctoral degrees to more than 200 students. This convocation marks the culmination of years of study and preparation for military and civilian members of each graduating class.
