Description: Three introductory lectures on energy-yielding pathways in the heart, followed by lab experiments and directed readings. Date from experiments analyzed, summarized and tentative conclusions drawn. Studies of selected scientific papers relevant to experiments performed. Data obtained will be reviewed and discussed in relation to current literature. Current trends/problems in research noted.
Comments: Course ends with an elective examination.
