Patients as Advisors: Enhancing Medical Education Curricula is a guide that describes the theoretical and practical approach to using parents of children with special needs and patients with chronic illness as advisors to medical school curricula, as assistants in developing teaching activities, and as co-teachers with faculty. The guide includes examples of tested teaching activities complete with lesson plans and handouts, and can be found at:
