Register for USU Research Days Postdoctoral Symposium!

The postdoctoral symposium will be from 12 - 3PM on May 15th. Four postdoctoral fellows will be selected to give a 20 minute presentation each, followed by our keynote speaker, Dr. Johnathan Yewdell. Presenters will be selected by faculty members based upon their submitted abstract. USU Research Days Postdoctoral Symposium hosts Dr. Jonathan Yewdell as keynote speaker

It is with great pleasure that we announce our Keynote Speaker for the Postdoctoral Symposium during USU Research Days, Dr. Jonathan Yewdell. Dr. Yewdell's laboratory at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases focuses on the cell biology of recognition of viruses by antibodies and T cells. He also studies the mechanisms that contribute to antigenic drift in influenza A with an emphasis on improving vaccine development. Visit Dr. Yewdell's laboratory webpage.

In addition to his scientific achievements, Dr. Yewdell has exhibited great mentoring to young scientists. His laboratory has graduated 27 postdoctoral fellows, over half of whom have established their own laboratories in academic settings. He wrote a two part essay for Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology entitled "How to succeed in science: a concise guide for young biomedical scientists".
