Programs and Tools

The Military Training Network is designated as the Department of Defense affiliate for the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS) for resuscitative/trauma medicine programs. The resuscitative medicine programs currently administered by the MTN include: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS ®), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Benefits of MTN Affiliation

Affiliation with the Military Training Network represents a tremendous cost savings. Cost savings currently exceed $13.5 Million per fiscal year for the Department of Defense. Some of the many benefits realized by course affiliation include:

  • Easy access guidance concerning ACLS, BLS, and PALS programs!

Deadlines

Basic Life Support

  • Annual Report, to include agendas, must be submitted NLT 30 September of current fiscal year
  • Semi-Annual Report is due NLT 31 Mar

Advanced Cardiac Life Support / Pediatric Advanced Life Support

  • Annual Report (Current Fiscal Year) and Pre-Course Approval Requests, to include agendas, must be submitted to the MTN NLT 30 September for the upcoming fiscal year
  • Post-Course Reports are due to the MTN NLT 30 days after the course was conducted

All Programs

Please note that if the proper documentation is not submitted to the Military Training Network in a timely manner, your program's authority to conduct training under the Military Training Network, will be in jeopardy.

Also, if asked to send additional documents, please annotate "additional supporting documents" on the cover sheet, this helps streamline the process for mailing your completed documents to you.

Nomination Packages

Ensure that your nomination packages (Program Director or Program Administrator) are complete with all required documentation. Refer to the MTN Administrative Handbook for guidance.
