Welcome to the Medical and Clinical Psychology (MPS) Department at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU)
Since its inception in 1978, the faculty, students, and research staff at our department have studied the role of behavior, cognition, and motivation in physical and mental health. Our department offers the following degrees: (1) Ph.D. in Medical Psychology [open to civilian and military students] that focuses on biobehavioral research, (2) Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology [military students] that focuses on clinical practice and research relevant to military populations, dependents, and veterans, and (3) Ph.D. in Medical and Clinical Psychology [open to civilian students] that focuses on biobehavioral research and evidence-based clinical research and practice.
