Mechanisms of sudden death and progression of heart failure, with emphasis on: 1. modulation of Na/Ca exchange in healthy and heart failure swine; 2. role of unstable repolarization in arrhythmogenesis in man and swine; 3. role of aldosterone in the progression of systolic heart failure.
