The Logistics Division Mission
The Logistics Division is organizationally aligned under the Assistant Vice President for Administration.
The Logistics Division provides comprehensive logistic support services to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) and the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI).
- Monitors and manages the University's Property Management Program:
- Performs property accountability services.
- Trains all University property custodians.
- Manages relocation services and redistribution and disposal of excess property programs.
- Provides design services, systems furniture and regular furniture for the University and its satellite locations.
- Processes and monitors all University requisitions for supplies and equipment to ensure that items are properly categorized, reviewed, and processed through the appropriate approvers.
- Provides material shipping, receiving, and delivery services.
- Maintains and provides supply of liquid nitrogen/argon, propane, dry ice and compressed gases.
- Performs routine maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and installations of University laboratory and office equipment, and computers.
- Manages and monitors the University's medical equipment maintenance service contracts.
- Maintains and monitors the University's de-ionized water system.
- Provides Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment calibration and repair services.
