Research Interests

Dr. Gimbel's research interests involve clinician decision-making and clinical documentation. He is an interventionalist dedicated to improving the safety and quality of beneficiary health care while ultimately influencing health policy. Current projects include clinical decision support to guide medical image ordering, measuring the quality of outpatient clinical notes, and enhanced communication/ medical applications to support chronic patients in a mobile health environment.
