Assistant Professor, Vice Chair for Preventive Medicine

Profile

Colonel Nick Lezama is the Vice Chair for Preventive Medicine and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics. In this capacity he is the senior military advisor to the Department Chair. Colonel Lezama's military experience includes clinical, academic, Command, and Combatant Command leadership positions. He has extensive aeromedical evacuation and disaster response experience, and his prior assignments include serving as the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine Critical Care Air Transport Team Course Director and as TRANSCOM and CENTCOM Theater Validating Flight Surgeon. Colonel Lezama is Board Certified in Aerospace and Emergency Medicine.
