The phenotyping core is designed to determine the phenotypic expression of the entire spectrum of TBI, including patients who display evidence of overlapping symptoms related to both TBI and PTSD. The domains assessed depend on the details of the individual protocols. However, it assumed that several domains must be covered to include a full set of assessments of neurologic and cognitive function along with social and emotional indicators of psychological health.
To coordinate civilian and military data collection, a contract between the DoD, DVBIC and MeDRed LLC is being used to ensure rapid initiation of data entry. This system has already been cleared through DoD for data security and will facilitate common computer language development to allow data comparison between DoD and civilian sites.
Access to the use of these cores is subject to CNRM review and chargeback fees may apply.
