The Biomedical Informatics Department is located on the ground floor of the main campus, around the corner from the Security Office that's accessible from the USU parking garage tunnel entrance.
The Biomedical Informatics Department (BID) at USU is the home of the expanding DoD Patient Safety & Quality Academic Collaborative. This center-like entity, interdisciplinary in nature, engages in original research and education at the nexus of patient safety, quality of care, health services research, and biomedical informatics. Our mission is to improve clinical practice and health policy in the Military Health System (and beyond) through research, education, and service.
On May 1, 2013 the University and the National Library of Medicine executed a Research and Education Partnership agreement for biomedical informatics. The agreement has resulted in expanded collaborative research and education between the two institutions. Please visit our Research tab to learn more about our research agenda and our Education tab to learn more about our future Master of Biomedical Informatics degree program.
Please feel to contact us via e-mail, phone, or just stop by to discuss our department, potential research collaborations, or interests you might have in learning more about biomedical/health informatics.
