The mission of the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute is to conduct research in the field of radiobiology and related matters essential to the operational and medical support of the Department of Defense and the military services. AFRRI may provide services and perform cooperative research with other federal and civilian agencies and institutions with the approval of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs.
